Imagine this scenario:

You are working hard on a big project for work on you computer. Just as you are putting  the finishing touches on the project, your computer dies.

Ugh, how frustrating!

Unfortunately, this type of situation has happened to many people. Computer can die in a flash, and when your computer dies, you lose tons of valuable information. Pictures, important files, and  recorded videos are lost forever.

Luckily, this situation can be avoided easily. You just need to backup Windows 7. Backing up your files is an easy, painless, and relatively quick process.

Here’s how to successfully backup Windows 7:

First, hit the windows button located at the bottom left corner of your screen. Click Control Panel, System and Maintenance, and Backup and Restore (in that order).

Since this is your first time backing up your computer, you need to click “Set Up Backup.” Window’s backup wizard will open up. You will have to go through a few basic steps including typing in your administrative password.

We recommend backing up windows 7 on an external hard drive such as a USB. Ensure that you have enough space to backup all of your files. Plug your storage device into the computer.

Here’s the fun part. The backup will take a few hours so we recommend enjoying the outdoors, heading to a restaurant, or chatting with your friends. If all else fails, take a nap. You deserve it!
